Remember!

was = Yo era o estaba
You were= Tú eras o estaba
She was= Ella  era o estaba
He was= Él era o estaba
It was= Eso era o estaba
We were= Nosotros éramos o estábamos
You were= Vosotros eráis o estabais
They were= Ellos eran o estaban

Examples

was at my Gran's house yesterday.(Yo estaba en la casa de mi abuela ayer).
You were late for school this morning. (Llegaste tarde al cole esta mañana)
She was with her friends last Saturday.
(Ella estaba con sus amigas el sábado pasado)
We were tired yesterday.(Nosotros estábamos cansados ayer).

Be careful!

For negatives add 'n't' or ‘not’. (La forma negative se construye añadiendo “n’t” o “not”).
I wasn’t late for school this morning.
I was not late for school this morning.
She wasn’t with her friends last Saturday.
She was not with her friends last Saturday.
We weren’t tired yesterday.
We were not tired yesterday.
